The island is blessed with more than 55 bays. Can Sastre loves to hunt for the most beautiful intimate bays of Ibiza. Beaches where you’ll be able to enjoy the laidback vibe of the island. This is a selection of the smallest and prettiest bays worthwhile visiting during your holiday.
Not far from the well-known bay Cala Comte a dirt road will lead you to a charming little bay called Cala Codolar (main photo). A bay with a small white wooden chiringuito where they serve delicious burgers. This is where the locals love to come. The bay is surrounded by rocks and has crystal clear water. Codolar is often a starting point for stand-up paddle tours as there is so much beauty to discover in this area. The beach has a bit coarse sand and small rocks so we recommend to book a sunbed or family bed to spend your day on.
Are you in the mood for a little walk? Climb up the rocks on the right side of the bay and you’ll end up at magical doors and the famous sundial called Time & Space. And from there you will have great views on the big rock Es Vedra.
In one of the most northern bays of the island, right above Portinax, you’ll find a hidden paradise called Cala d’en Serra. After a walk down of a couple of minutes you’ll arrive in a very quiet little bay surrounded by green hills and rocks. Right before you arrive at the beach, you’ll notice an abandoned hotel where graffiti artists created impressive art. But once you’re at the beach you won’t even notice the hotel anymore. This is a great little bay to snorkel, swim or stand-up paddle. It’s a relatively long drive to the north, but it is certainly worth going there.
Good to know; there has been a little chiringuito in the past, but nowadays there are no facilities at the beach. We recommend you’ll bring enough food and drinks for the day.
If you don’t know this bay exists it’s easy to pass. Not far from the golf court Ibiza, close to the urbanisation Roca Lisa, there is a little bay called Cala Olivera. It’s an intimate sandy beach so we recommend you to go on time to get hold of a spot.
The wooden chiringuito in this bay recently has new owners who offer a delicious selection of finger food. Our preference is to go there right after breakfast to start your day with a swim in this pretty bay or to go end of the day for an ice cold beer before the sun goes down.
This charming little bay has one of the most sustainable chiringuito’s of the island. It is solar powered and uses sustainable and biodegradable products only. Cala Escondida is also known as a nudist beach, but don’t be bothered if you prefer to wear your swimwear. It’s a peaceful bay where everyone can be who they want to be. The beach is a combination of rocky parts and soft sanded areas. The chiringuito offers delicious mojito’s, chicken wraps and is a fabulous sunset spot. It’s one of our favourite spots for a reason.
If you’ll get there, park your car at the parking of Cala Comte but take the stairs down on your left 200 meters before you arrive at Sunset Ashram.
Can Sastre is based in the heart of the island, in Sant Rafael. It’s the perfect spot to discover hidden bays, restaurants, beach clubs or charming villages such as Santa Gertrudis. Can Sastre has several suites with a unique story and their own look. All suites have a romantic atmosphere, a cozy terrace and are all provided with modern conveniences of a 5-star boutique hotel.
Have a look at our suites to see which one suits your best.
