If it’s raining cats and dogs outside, we totally understand you could use some inspiration. It doesn’t happen much, but if it does, we have some pleasant ideas what to do and where to go with bad weather. This is how you could spend your rainy day on Ibiza.
Ibiza has a couple of great spas to treat your body and mind during your holiday. We promise that this will make you forget about the bad weather instantly. Book a relaxing massage or a fabulous facial treatment, or feel the heat in a sauna to feel reborn at the end of the day. Spa’s we can recommend are Can Curreu in Sant Carlos, Atzaro’s spa in San Lorenzo, Open Spa at Gran hotel Ibiza (photo), Six Senses Spa at Cala Xaracca or try the spa of Aguas Blanca’s hotel in Sant Eularia.
If you are not a big fan of spa’s you could also consider visiting a beauty salon to be pampered. Perfect for a facial, waxing, manicure or pedicure or any other beauty treatment you might wish for. We can recommend Glow Lab Ibiza in Sant Jordi, Med Spa at Marina Botafoch and Blowout Ibiza in Playa d’en Bossa. Obviously, you could also book a treatment at your hotel room if you prefer. We’re happy to organise that.
When you’re not keen on running in the rain there are plenty of opportunities to exercise inside. Think of padel at Ibiza Club de Campo in Sant Jordi or Ibiza Padel Indoor in Ibiza town. We highly recommend reserving your court as there aren’t that many covered courts on the island and they can get booked out pretty quickly.
If you prefer fitness, spinning, or a workout class Bfit is where you want to go. You can simply book a day or week pass and start training after registration. It the biggest and best equipped gyms of the island so while it’s pouring rain outside, you’ll get fit inside.
The island has a lot of outdoor restaurants but we are glad there are many covered restaurants and beach clubs as well. Take all the time you need and treat yourself with a multi-course lunch or dinner at a cozy area of the restaurant. Don’t order everything at once, but try new things from the menu. Your taste buds will be thankful. We previously wrote a blog with lovely winter restaurants that might inspire you where to go.
If you want to learn something new or be creative, we recommend you to check the calendar of L’atlier Numero 74. Whether you want to learn how to make your own beauty products, work on your own ceramics, make Fabric Flowers or learn how to make something out of macramé. Spending your afternoon in this café will be very pleasant during bad weather. They serve lots of delicious homemade sweets, salads and pastas. And the great thing is, children will have a great time here with all the play areas at this restaurant.
Step over the threshold of Can Sastre and you’ll instantly be at one with the unforgettable character of the island. Located in the very heart of Santa Gertrudis Ibiza, the intimate setting is rural, tranquil and simply magical. There’s no better place to relax and enjoy nature.
