Ibiza might not be the first destination that comes on your mind when you are considering a winter trip, but it is actually such a great destination to soak up some sun and to discover the island in a different way. We from Can Sastre are huge fans of this time of year. The blossom trees are blooming, the sky is still blue and the island is so cozy and relaxed. To inspire you we have summed up our favourite wine & dine spots on the island in wintertime.
In this charming and rustic restaurant (main photo) situated on the road towards San Joan, you can enjoy delicious lunches and dinners all year round. When the beach is empty it’s great to have a walk along the sea. From Ses Salinas you can walk towards a beautiful pirate tower, Torre de Ses Portes, passing several tiny beaches where some of the rocks are transformed into art sculptures. At The Jockey Club they understand the true chiringuito vibe. Delicious and healthy food at the seaside, fabulous cocktails with excellent service. Are you in doubt what to order? We can recommend ordering the garlic prawns, the burrata and the Black Angus Burger. Que Proveche!

Coto Ibiza (picture above) is the newest restaurant on the list and basically around the corner of Can Sastre. They opened their doors last year and it’s already popular. It’s an original Vietnamese and Japanese restaurant with high quality food and a stylish Asian interior. Find yourself in one of the cozy corners of the inside restaurant or have a seat around the big buddha in the garden. Enjoy their miso soup, spring rolls, duck peanut or one of their spicy curries. With the live dj it’s a bustling addition to the winter restaurants on Ibiza.

Pass the salt fields and keep on going. You’ll end up at a modern beach restaurant surrounded by palmtrees with a great ocean view. A pleasant restaurant to go to for a long lunch and enjoy the sun. Their crunchy sushi and paella are famous all over the island. Combine that with a can of sangria and you could call it the ultimate Ibiza lunch. No matter what the time of year is, it’s always very much alive here.
